Position:
Assistant Coach

Alma Mater:
UMES '07

Raymond, a native of Cumberland, Md., spent three years as a bowler under Brummell and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a degree in Photography. She begins her second season as a coach.

While she missed out on the 2007-08 NCAA Championship team, Raymond was a crucial part of the 2006-07 NCAA Championship Runner-Up team. She was also a member 2003-04 team that produced the very first perfect baker game in NCAA history. There have only been two such feats since then.

In her senior season at UMES, Raymond compiled an average of just under 180 with a game high of 279.

"We are extremely excited to have Megan join our staff," proclaimed Brummell. "Our bowlers will benefit tremendously from her extensive knowledge and understanding of the sport."

Prior to joining the staff at UMES, she was a full-time photographer with Gannett Newspapers and also assisted with photography for UMES Athletic events. Raymond replaces Doug Dukes who chose not to renew his contract when it expired in June of 2009 to spend more time with his family.

Dukes, who grew up in the sport of bowling, coached at UMES for six seasons. He played an integral role in the 2007-08 NCAA Championship team. His primary responsibilities included conducting practice, ball layout, ball drilling and equipment modifications. He also played a vital role in increasing player awareness and lane playability when it came to game-day athletic performances.

Raymond will take over many of those same duties, especially supervising practice, increasing player awareness and lane playability as well as game-day performances.
