NORFOLK, Va. - University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) senior All-American Anggie Ramirez (Bogota, Colombia) claimed her fifth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week honor the league announced today.

Ramirez guided her Hawks to an 8-2 record this past weekend at the third and final Northern Division Match-up. She tallied a 1,004 pin fall and averaged a 200.8 over five team games. She posted a team high 237 in the win over Howard and a 226 in the win over Morgan State.

This is the ninth weekly honor for a Hawk this season.

UMES travels this weekend to Las Vegas, Nev. for the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Sectional Qualifier. If they take a top four spot in the field they will earn a berth to the USBC Collegiate National Championships where they won in 2011.
