UMES' VICTORIA JONES NAMED MEAC BOWLER OF THE WEEK

NORFOLK, Va. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) women's bowler Victoria Jones (Baltimore, Md.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week for matched played March 3-9 the conference announced earlier this week.
At the last regular season tournament Jones took Most Valuable Player honors, the first of her career, and shot a career high 267 in a win over Tulane at the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn. She averaged a 225.3 and led the Hawks to a 4-2 mark in team games the second day. Her sold play landed her in anchor position in Bakers as well as UMES went 5-3 at the event.
Jones and the Hawks are headed to the MEAC Championships this weekend in Chesapeake, Va. March 21-23 and look to defend their conference championship.
