NORFOLK, Va. - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced today the Bowling Athlete of the Week award recipients for the past two weeks. Both went to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) as T'nia Falbo won for her performance in Las Vegas and Anggie Ramirez won for her outing in the Music City Classic.

The wins give the Hawks 11 MEAC Bowler of the Week accolades in 13 tries. Ramirez is responsible for six of those awards alone.

Falbo (Greensburg, Pa.) won for the week of March 4-10 and knocked down 1,221 pins, boasting a 203.5 average to lead UMES at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectionals in Las Vegas. She took fifth overall, just missing the cut for the Intercollegiate Singles Championships. She bowled all 64 Baker games in the event, propelling UMES to a second place finish and a berth in the USBC Collegiate Championships.

Ramirez (Bogota, Colombia) won for the past week, averaging a 224.3, knocking down 1,346 pins to take third overall and earn All-Tournament Team honors. She posted five of her six games all over 200. Her outing propelled the Hawks to another tournament win, their ninth in 12 tries and a 12-2 overall mark.

The pair will lead UMES into the MEAC Championships in Chesapeake, Va. starting Friday March 21 and running through Sunday March 23rd.
