March 25, 2014

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) will wait patiently to find out their post-season fate as they view the NCAA Women's Bowling Championship Selection Show, tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m. The eight-team field, all selected by at-large bids, will be announced online at www.NCAA.com.

The Lady Hawks, currently ranked third in the latest National Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) coach's poll and second in the NTCA media poll, are coming off a win in the 2014 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship. This season UMES stands at 87-20 overall and won six of the ten events they have bowled in this season.

A bid will mean the 11th straight trip to the championship for UMES. UMES has attended all previous 10 events. They won the title in 2008, 2011 & 2012 and were runners-up in 2007.

Coaches and players from the team will view the selection show live in the William P. Hytche Athletic Center conference room. Members of the media are encouraged to attend the selection show viewing and asked to RSVP by calling 410-651-6499.
