PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) will host a bowling celebration on Tuesday afternoon to not only congratulate their women's bowling team on their seventh MEAC Championship, but also as a sendoff to their 11th straight NCAA Championships.

UMES leaves on Tuesday afternoon for Wickliffe, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland, to attend their 11th straight NCAA Championships. The Hawks are looking for their third NCAA title in four years, which would tie them with the most titles in the history of the sport. They are coming off of their seventh Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship in school history.

The event will take place at the Sharon D. Brummell Lanes in the Student Services Center on campus from 11:00 a.m. until noon. The team will be on hand to sign autographs and chat with fans. They will also view the 2014 MEAC Championship footage. Light appetizers will be served and faculty, staff, students and the public are encouraged to stop by and wish the team well in their pursuit of another NCAA Title. At noon, the team will leave the SSC directly to the bus to go to the airport to begin their NCAA Championship quest. Fans are encouraged to walk them to the bus and cheer them on.
