The Lady Hawk keglers will carry that ranking into the NCAA Championships which begin today in Apopka, Florida.

UMES opened the season ranked seventh in the country, where they finished last season. Sine then, they have not been lower then sixth, climbing as high as fifth place in the January 2007 poll.

One point separated the top two spots in the latest poll as two time champion Nebraska edged out defending NCAA Champion Fairliegh Dickinson University for the top spot. Vanderbilt, the University of Central Missouri and New Jersey City claimed the third through fifth spots.

The NCAA field consists of eight teams, the top seven teams, Sacred Heart is seventh, and tenth ranked Minnesota Stat University-Mankato.
