FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. - Success does have its costs. So Head Coach Sharon Brummell has found out now that her Lady Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) have won the NCAA Women's Bowling National Championship and with it, claimed stakes as the first women's program from a historically black college or university (HBCU) to have done so. Her latest "cost," and reward, is to be a featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRES ROW.

Brummell has taken numerous interview requests from newspapers and magazines, but this is her first on a radio show. "It is quite an honor," said Brummell. "The interview requests have been numerous, but it is an honor to do each one. A nationally syndicated radio show is also an honor, to know how that this many people are interested in our success is mind-blowing; it has been time-consuming, but worth every second."

FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRES ROW is the premier sports talk show in the nation which places major emphasis on HBCU Sports. The show airs on 26 stations around the country. Guests of the show have included tennis superstar Serena Williams, Michael Strahan, Avery Johnson and many of the administrators, coaches and student-athletes of HBCUs.

The show does not air currently in the Eastern Shore area, but can be listened to on archive on the shows website, www.boxtorow.com. Please go to www.boxtorow.com/affiliates.php to see day and time when the show airs in each locale. The show also airs from 1-2 p.m. ET every Saturday online.
