ARLINGTON, Texas - The National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) recently awarded their annual All-Academic awards and seven Hawks were named to the list. The award, which requires a 3.5 cumulative GPA through the Fall 2012 semester, is one of the highest academic requirements among collegiate athletics for recognition.

Mariana Alvarado (Leon, Mexico), Megan Buja (Rockford, Ill.), Valentina Collazos (Cali, Colombia), T'nia Falbo (Greensburg, Pa.), Kristie Lopez (Ponce, Puerto Rico), Tatiana Munoz (Ibague Tolima, Colombia) and Anggie Ramirez (Bogota, Colombia) all earned the award.

On each certificate it reads, "...has demonstrated superior performance in the classroom. Therefore, the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association proudly awards the title of All-Academic for these accomplishments."

This is the second academic award that women's bowling members have received for their academic prowess, with more anticipated this semester.
