PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) women's bowling team has announced their schedule for the upcoming 2005-06 season. The Lady Hawks will compete in the Capital Classic in Dover, Del. on Oct. 29-30 to open their fall campaign.

Following their season opening invitational in Dover, UMES will head to Hampton, Va. the following week to participate in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) North competition on Nov. 5-6. The Lady Hawks will head back to Dover on Nov. 12-13 for more MEAC North competition before heading to Millsboro, Del. and St. Louis to finish out the month.

Maryland-Eastern Shore will make two stops in New Jersey at the end of December, competing at the 17th Annual Colgate Invitational on Dec. 27-28 and the NCAA Holiday Jamboree on Dec. 28-29.

The Lady Hawks head back to Maryland on Jan. 21-22 for MEAC North competiton before making the trip to Las Vegas for the Brunswick Coca-Cola Classic on Jan. 28-29.

UMES will participate in three tournaments (Morgan State Invitational, NCAA Holiday Classic, ECAC Championships) before heading to Virginia Beach for the MEAC Championships on Mar. 17-18.

The Lady Hawks advanced to the second round of both the NCAA and IBC Championships last season, the only team in the country to compete in both championships. Maryland-Eastern Shore, holders of the only perfect Baker game in NCAA history, return six players from last year's squad.
