Virginia Beach, Va. - Jessica Worsley (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) of the third ranked Lady Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 2, 2007.

Worsley's selection makes it the third week in a row that a UMES bowler has earned the award with Sara DiScioscia and Kristina Frahm earning it previously.

Worlsey was the Hawk's star at the Jeanette Lee Invitational, leading her team to a third place finish and a 9-2 mark in NCAA play. UMES now stands 40-8 on the year.

She averaged a 203.17, earning a nod on the All-Star team. Worsley knocked down 1,219 pins and recorded four games over 200. She knocked down 232 pins in a win over #7 New Jersey City University.

Worsley and the Lady Hawks are off until December 27 when they travel to New Jersey to compete in the NCAA Holiday Jamboree.
