Allen Davenport is entering his sixth season with the Lady Hawk softball program. He works with all aspects of on-field coaching and recruiting. "My goal for the season is to make sure our athletes work together to do the right things," Davenport said. "Although I am a UMES Alum, I don't root for teams. I root for the student athlete to do their best." As a student at UMES, Davenport lettered in both basketball and baseball. His success on the hardwood earned him MEAC Player of the Week honors in 1983. He was also named to the conference's All-Tournament team in 1983. Davenport graduated from UMES in 1987. In his spare time, he is a volunteer coach for the men's basketball program at nearby Princess Anne High School.
