UMES tally just three hits, pitching dominates play

2012-13 (Senior): Concludes UMES career as one of the most decorated all-around players in recent times ... started and played in all 130 games over the past three years and hit .304 with 20 doubles, five HR, 64 RBI and 84 runs ... won 16 games for UMES across 103 appearances and 88 starts ... logged 558 total innings with 246 strikeouts ... As a senior, led UMES in runs (37), hit by pitch (nine) and sacrifice flies (four) ... stood third in MEAC in sac flies and fourth in hit by pitches ... posted career-highs in wins (12), appearances (39), innings pitched (225) and strikeouts (106) on the mound in 2013 ... finished eighth overall in the NCAA with 0.86 walks/game ... ranked fourth in MEAC in innings pitched and seventh in strikeouts ... 2011-2012 (Junior): Served as the starting pitcher in all 34 games for UMES ... threw all 191 innings for the squad ... led the team in on-base percentage (.443), runs (22), hit by pitches (six), sacrifice flies (two) and walks (13) ... hit .316 with 16 RBIs and six doubles ... opened up season on with a 3-for-3 performance against Stillman with four RBIs, one double and a triple on Feb. 11... homered and went 3-for-3 with three RBIs vs. Howard on March 25 ... fanned 72 batters, while allowing just 45 free passes ... led the team with 49 assists

2011: Hit .311, second on the team, in 47 starts ... hit seven doubles plus three home runs and slugged .444, all 2nd on the Hawks ... walked 17 times to just 12 strikeouts ... team's primary third baseman and top pitcher ... went 4-21 with a 6.69 ERA ... struck out 68 batters ... threw 15 complete games.

2010 (St. Francis University): Third-best slugging percentage with .367 in 25 games, including 24 starts ... hit two home runs with seven runs batted in ... went 3-15 with 5.22 ERA in 24 appearances on the mound ... had team's top ERA against the Northeast Conference at 4.41.
