On the field, Allen is a highly-decorated student-athlete as she has won multiple individual awards while recording numerous accomplishments, such as pitching multiple no-hitters, setting-new high school records, and throwing a perfect game in the 2013 Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series. In 2013, Allen appeared in 19 contests (15 starts) while allowing a 2.08 ERA with 160 strikeouts. Offensively, Allen batted .478 with five homeruns and 20 RBIs.

Last season, the Lady Hawks finished 14-35 (5-13 MEAC) and showed promise during the 2013 fall season as they went 5-1 overall. This season, the team starts the season on the road as they head to Charleston, S.C. to compete in the Charleston Southern Tournament (Feb. 7-9).

TRACK & FIELD (INDOOR)

On Dec. 6th, Simon excelled in the shot-put and weight-throw events at the Coach O Collegiate Invitational as he placed first in both events while setting a school-record for weight-throw (16.71 meters). On the same day, Evans also had a record-breaking performance after finishing first-place in the 60-meter dash preliminaries. Simons, Evans, and the entire indoor track & field team resume their season in 2014 as they host their final home meet of the season at the UMES HS/College Invitational. Start times and event listings will be released at a later date.
