SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) don't play much but when they do it is for some local bragging rights. Those belong to the Seagulls for now as they topped the Lady Hawks tennis team 7-0 on March 7th at the Salisbury Indoor Tennis Complex. Aissatou Ba had the best day for UMES as she fell at the #2 spot 6-0, 6-3 to Jenny Rosler and fell in #1 doubles with her partner Nadia Flores Hernandez 8-3 tot eh team of Rosler and Erika Mitry. Mitry topped Flores Hernandez 6-0, 6-2 at #1 singles. Fatoumata Ba fell at #3 singles 6-2, 6-0 to Anna Marie Kable while Kable and Hannah Parsons topped Ba and Haaveshe Sawyer 8-1 in doubles. The only other point came from Bolanle Abioye who fell at #5 singles 6-1, 6-0 to Rachel Iosue. UMES has rescheduled their match with Howard and will next face Lafayette College on Sunday, March 11 at home.
