BALTIMORE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Women's Tennis team fell 7-0 to the host Loyola College Greyhounds in a non-conference match-up on March, 15. Loyola shut out the Lady Hawks, winning the first five matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0.

UMES defaulted at number six singles and number three doubles. Kerri Swan and Joy Johnson won at No. 1 doubles 8-0 over Fatoumata Ba and Bolanle Abioye while Christine Bermudez and Brigette Squire fell by the same score to Caityln Day and Stephanie Dunn.

UMES is back in action on Sunday taking on Morgan State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match-up, their first of the season.
