April 1, 2007 WASHINGTON, D.C. - Howard University topped the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in Women's tennis on April Fool's Day. The loss drops UMES to 0-12 on the year. Aissatou Ba had the strongest outing for the Lady Hawks, falling 6-1, 6-2 to Laura Marin at #2 singles. Nadia Flores Hernandez was the only other Lady Hawk scoring points, falling 6-0, 6-1 to Aja Wright at #1 singles. UMES was shut out at the three through six singles and in all three doubles matches. They return to the court at home against Delaware State on April 5, 2007.
