DOVER, Del. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) men's and women's tennis teams could not find their feet against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) rival Delaware State University Tuesday afternoon as both fell 7-0 to the Hornets.

Emmash Sudusinghe (Ragama, Sri Lanka) and Richard Warren (Salem, N.J.) each put up four points in singles play against their opponents. Sudusinghe eventually fell in #2 singles 6-1, 6-3 while Warren dropped his match 8-4.

Aissatou Ba (Dakar, Senegal) had the best performance on the day of both teams. She fell to her #1 singles opponent 6-3, 6-4 and then partnered with Solana McMillan (Teaneck, N.J.) to nearly defeat their #1 doubles opponent 8-6.

UMES travels to West Long Branch, N.J. to face off against Monmouth University on April 8. The matches are set to begin at 2 p.m.
