Princess Anne, MD - Victoria B. Wilson won another singles match today for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's (UMES) Lady Hawk Tennis team while team captain Vicky White played an exciting match against Elena Benker of Howard University before falling 6-1, 6-1. Howard won the match 6-1. UMES also took a doubles win with Wilson and Reva Campbell but with Howard taking the other two doubles matches they scored the point. The Lady Bison also won five of the six singles matches, shutting out UMES and taking the contest, 6-1.
It is off to the MEAC Championships where Head Coach Doug Wright hopes the improving Lady Hawks will make their mark like they did last season, sweeping Bethune-Cookman and improving their MEAC finish.
