Renee Arnold is in her first year as the assistant volleyball coach at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Arnold was hired to assist coach Rens on the programs quest toward winning a conference championship.
Arnold is a 2001 graduate of George Washington University with a B.B.A. in Sports Management. While at George Washington University she was a four-year letter winner as an outside hitter. Arnold was named to several All-Tournament teams during her time at GWU. Her leadership skills were evident as she was elected to serve as team captain during her junior and senior years. Arnold also helped her team win the Atlantic-10 conference championship her senior year while advancing to the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Arnold comes to UMES after spending a year coaching at Northwestern High School in Maryland (her Alma Mater). She coached them to one of the best they have had in the past four years. Arnold has also continued to develop herself into a better player, attending the National Volleyball tournament held in Minnesota placing 9th out of 38 teams. Arnold led her team in kills, blocks, aces and digs.
As the Hawk's assistant, Arnold will serve as the recruiting coordinator; assistant in all phases of skill development, scouting and match preparation, team travel, strength and conditioning, and marketing and promotions.
Originally from Hyattsville, Md, Arnold resides in Salisbury, Md.
