RIVERDALE, N.Y. - A large dominant force meant up with the Lady Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) today at the Manhattan College Invitational with the University of Arkansas-Little Rock (UALR) getting a 3-0 win over UMES (30-16, 30-17, 30-20).

Sporting international players as tall 6-6, UALR took advantage of the smaller Hawks pounding out 49 kills to the Hawks 25. They hit a whopping .256 while UMES was barely to the good, hitting just .008.

Sam Chukwura led UMES with seven kills while Whitney Johnson and Caylin Woodward chipped in six kills each. Christina Estebane' again had a solid match with 20 assists, three kills and 13 digs.

For the Trojans, Ivanka Davidova had 13 kills to lead all attackers while Amy Hafner had a match high 18 digs.

UALR tallied a whopping ten team blocks while the Hawks managed just two and a half.

The Hawks fall to 1-2 on the year while UALR improves to 3-3. UMES looks to even their mark later today with a 2:00pm match against the host Jaspers of Manhattan College.
