Maryland-Eastern Shore had four players with at least seven kills in a 3-0 victory over Delaware State in MEAC volleyball Monday. The scores were 30-9, 30-27 and 30-22. Mamie Lewis led the Hawks with 11 kills. Alex Turner and Aja Smith had eight kills each, while Chrissy Jacobs added seven. Sanda Dzile had 37 assists for the Hawks. Jana Milin recorded a whopping nine aces in just one game. Rosie Lanphere led Delaware State with seven kills, while Ruby Melton and Keysha Tiller had four each. Delaware State has lost its last six games to fall to 2-13 overall and 1-4 in the MEAC while UMES in now on a seven match winning streak having dropped only two games and winning 21. They take on Howard in Tawes Gymnasium Tuesday night at 6:00 pm.
