- UMES defeated Hampton in three straight games tonight with scores of 30-16, 30-28, and 30-21 adding to their nine match winning streak.
Jana Milin led the Hawks with 13 kills and 9 digs. Sanda Dzile notched 26 assists while Aja Smith had 9 kills and 8 digs. "I'm glad that the ladies are playing hard to continue their winning streak," said coach Toby Rens.
Stephanie Cisneros had 8 kills and Chavanca Hoskins had 6 kills and 9 digs for the Lady Pirates.
The ladies will be traveling to Florida next week to play Florida A&M University and Bethune-Cookman College. Their next home match is on Thursday, October 30 against North Carolina A&T State.
