An ace from freshman Chanita Wesley (Minneapolis, Minn.) got the Lady Hawks back on track in game three. Wesley's ace, one of four in the contest for the outside hitter, helped UMES tie the score up at 7-7. The maroon and gray pushed to a four point lead later (28-24), forcing a Rhode Island timeout. The Lady Hawks closed the game out with a kill from Rozner, 30-27.

Game four remained close and produced several ties and lead changes. Errors plagued both teams throughout, but the Rams held on to win the game 31-29, clinching the match.
