Rozner earned 35 digs, 13 kills and 83 assists in 13 games last weekend

PRINCESS ANNE, MD - University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) freshman Yael Rozner (Haifa, Israel/Kiriat Haim H.S.) was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week for her play in four matches this past week.

The Lady Hawks (0-4, 0-0 MEAC) lost four non-conference matchups to open their 2005 campaign. Rozner earned 35 digs, 13 kills and 83 assists in 13 games last weekend. The freshman from Haifa, Israel tallied a team high 41 assists and 16 digs in a loss to Canisius on Sept. 2. In a contest against Navy on Sept. 3, the setter led UMES with seven kills, 11 digs and 14 assists.

The Lady Hawks will be back in action this week with a match at Norfolk St. on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Game time is slated at 6 p.m.
