PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The Mid Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced today that the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Caylin Woodward (Garden Grove, Calif./Pacifica H.S.) has been named the MEAC Rookie of the Week for Women's Volleyball.

Woodward had 22 kills, 11 digs and three aces in two matches last week. The right side hitter helped the Lady Hawks to a 2-0 mark last week and posted a team high 17 kills and seven digs in a 3-2 victory over Delaware State. This is the second time this season that Woodward has earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Woodward and the Lady Hawks return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 19 with a 7 p.m. conference decision against Howard at the Hytche Center.
