VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Make it six straight for the Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). UMES Volleyball has claimed six consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week awards with this week's recipient, Caylin Woodward (Garden Grove, Calif./Pacifica H.S.) earning her second nod of the season.

Whitney Johnson (Prince Frederick, Md./Univ. at Albany) has four Player of the Week wins.

Woodward, a 6-0 Right Side Hitter, played all three games in the Hawks lone match this week, a 3-0 win over Hampton to run their record to 18-3 and 7-0 in the conference. The win was also the Hawk's 16th consecutive win. Woodward recorded a triple double in the outing, her third of the season. She posted 10 kills, 10 assists and 12 digs to help balance the attack. She also added three aces while hitting .238 from the floor.

Woodward has now `hit for the cycle,' if you will. Her three triple doubles have come in three games against Hampton, four against George Washington and five games against Morgan State.

UMES plays their eighth MEAC match of the season on Thursday when Woodward and the Hawks host Coppin State University at 6:00 pm.
