Oct. 17, 2004 PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The Howard Bison defeated the Norfolk State Spartans in their first match of the day, winning in straight sets by scores of 30-19, 30-17 and 30-25. Howard (6-18, 4-4) was led by Kimberly Dexter who finished with a near double-double, tallying 16 kills and nine digs in win. Junior Kollin Hoskins added 10 kills and nine digs, while setter Shannon Grant chipped in with 35 assists.
Shea Kersey led Norfolk State (0-21, 0-10) with eight kills and eight digs, while Afryea Allen added three kills and 15 digs.
