Oct. 27, 2003 GREENSBORO, N.C.(Oct.20) - Jana Milin and Sanda Dzile of Maryland-Eastern Shore were selected the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, the league announced. This is the third time this season the Setter-Outside Hitter combo from UMES have received the Player and Rookie of the Week honors on the same week. PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK - Jana Milin,UMES (OH, 5-10, SO., PULA, CROATIA) Milin led Maryland-Eastern Shore to a 3-0 victory over Navy last week. Milin, who leads the MEAC in Kills per game (5.63) had a match-high 23 kills against Navy. She also finished the match with eight digs, two aces and one block. This is Milin's fourth player of the week honor this season. ROOKIE-OF-THE-WEEK - Sanda Dzile, UMES (S, 5-10, FR., BAUSKA, LATURA) Dzile finished with 43 assists, four digs, three blocks and one service aces in the Hawks win over Navy. Dzile is second in the MEAC in assists per game, averaging 10.59.
