PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- The UMES volleyball team will watch the NCAA Tournament selection show at 4:00 p.m. this Sunday, November 25th at Uno's Chicago Grill in Fruitland, Md. after winning its second straight MEAC Championship and locking down an automatic berth.

The selection show, which will air on ESPNU, will announce the 64-team field and 16 regional sites for the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship.

UMES fans are encouraged to stop by to watch the show and/or congratulate the team beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The Hawks earned an automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament after defeating Florida A&M in five sets for the MEAC Championship. UMES is currently in its winningest season in history at 28-5, including an 11-1 mark in MEAC North play for its sixth straight divisional title.

The first two rounds will be hosted by 16 campus sites, followed by the next two rounds at regional sites of Berkeley (Calif.), Omaha (Neb.), Austin (Texas) and West Lafayette (Ind.). The 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship is set to be played at the KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Last season, UMES faced 9-seed and eventual NCAA D-I champion UCLA in its first-ever NCAA Tournament. The Hawks flew to Los Angeles for the match, falling in three sets to the Bruins.
