Dec. 22, 2003 Princess Anne, MD -
Coming off a successful volleyball season the Hawks Women's Volleyball team continued their success by being a part of the celebration at Princess Anne's Manokin Manor. The Hawks went door to door in the residence and visited sharing stories of their season, reading Holiday stories and spreading the holiday cheer. "We always like to give back to the community and thought this was a great way to brighten someone's day and spread the holiday spirit to those who are not able to get out and enjoy it," said Head Coach Toby Rens. The UMES volleyball team visited the Manokin Manor earlier this month and felt they had a positive impact. While being interviewed on WMDT-TV Channel 47 junior Marlee Johnson said, "often residents here don't have a lot of visitors and we feel really good about being able to visit and just help brighten up their day."
